Voluntary Association for Rehabilitation of Afghanistan (VARA) a humanitarian, non-profitable, non-political, non-sectarian and non-governmental organization was founded in August 1990 to participate in the process of relief, rehabilitation and developmental of the war-torn Afghanistan. The main aim of the organization is to encourage the return of afghan refugees to their homeland by providing them with every possible assistance and income generating opportunities in the field of their choice/expertise through training and capacity building as well as provision of tools / incentives.

Our mission is to improve the level of economic and social situation of the poor and establishing peace and harmony in Afghanistan.
VARA aims to enable absolutely poor people to achieve major improvements in their lives which are sustainable without ongoing support from VARA. To rehabilitate the country through protracted development in all walks of social, cultural and public life.
To encourage the repatriation of refugees from neighboring countries and provide them with income generation services in skill development training and agriculture.
