Advocacy is an activity by an individual or group which aims to influence decisions within political, economic, and social systems and institutions. Advocacy can include many activities that a person or organization undertakes including media campaigns, public speaking, commissioning and publishing research or conducting exit poll or the filing of an amicus brief.
VARA is dedicated to aid effectiveness, Civic Education, advocacy, coordination, and information exchange services to address humanitarian recovery and sustainable development needs of the country.
VARA aims to help people living in poverty – particularly women and girls – to improve their living conditions in a peaceful and democratic society. We are working towards increased aid effectiveness, greater respect for human rights and democratic development, gender equality and education.
VARA aims to strengthen and focus the dialogue, both at home and in Afghanistan, on human rights and gender equality, especially concerning women and children’s rights, as well as to promote women ‘s and men’s equal participation in the social and political development.
